Implementation of a project for distribution of aviation services based on NDC standards

• To implement the direct distribution of aviation services offered by Aeroflot with agencies and meta search engines based on the new NDC standard.
• To launch direct sales of air tickets on the sites of search engines, such as SkyScanner, Aviasales, and similar services.
• To inform customers about brand fare groups and stimulate upsales.
• To increase the amount of sales of accompanying services offered by PJSC “Aeroflot”.
• To Increase the airline’s cash flow.

To attain the aforementioned goals, a company that offers air transportation should comply with the IATA standard; namely, it should be certified according to the NDC standard. To implement this project, RAMAX International, a reliable and established provider of solutions for PJSC “Aeroflot”, was chosen.

The project was divided into two stages.

Stage 1. Implementation, integration, and deployment of the primary functionality on the sites of meta search engines:

• search;

• booking (with some limitations on flights in the “pilot” project);

• provision of detailed information on flights;

• transition to payment;

• issuance of documents;

• e-mail communication with customers (both airlines and agents);

• maintenance of booking control;

• fulfillment of the IATA NDC Level 3 certification, which allows the company to apply the

• NDC standard in selling uplifts via partner airlines’ sites.

Stage 2. Provision of additional services on the sites of the airline’s partners (special meal ordering and seat selection).

The functionality to provide the following services is to be developed in the nearest future:

• order management;

• provision of information about the airline’s profile;

• ordering paid meals;

• issuance of documents for excess baggage;

• secondary operations with tickets: exchange, refund, and cancellation.

• A unique system of NDC services that complies with the IATA standard was created. 

• Aeroflot tickets are now directly sold on the sites of meta search engines (SkyScanner.com, Aviasales.ru, etc.) 

• RAMAX was officially certified as a developer that meets the IATA standard with the Deployment Partner status.
